I moved to Howard, Colorado from South Carolina with my family in 1975.  My dad had recently retired from the Air Force and wanted to “head west” so “west” we went!

Growing up in the Arkansas River Valley I’ve seen many changes and am very familiar not only with the geography of Chaffee, Fremont and Saguache Counties but with the communities themselves.  I am very active in the community and have been everything from room mom, brownie troop leader, booster club president, vice president of the Board of Education for the Salida School District, president of the Mountain BOCES Board, and more.
